STOVE & OVEN ISSUES

WILL NOT TURN ON

For an electric stove won’t start, first ensure the stove is plugged in and if all circuit breakers are switched on. You need to check the pilot light for gas stoves. If the stove power cord is plugged in and the pilot light is burning in the oven, that means some other part will have to be repaired. The cause of the problem could be the surface element, infinite switch, igniter or bake and broil element.

BURNER WON’T HEAT

A burner or stove or oven that does not heat doesn’t do much good. Your oven will not heat when there is a broken oven sensor or bake element. A burner won’t ignite when an element is broken or if the burner switch or the terminal block don’t work. We are able to troubleshoot and repair these problems in no more than 1-2 hours after an appointment begins.

PROGRAM PROBLEMS

You can assume the control board on a stove or oven is broken if the program or timer settings are not working. In this case, we can replace control boards for GE, LG, Sears, KitchenAid, Kenmore and several other brands of stoves, ovens and ranges. We provide a warranty on all of the control boards and the manufacturer parts we use for this type of oven repair service.

OVEN TEMPERATURE IS TOO HOT

You always should have a hot oven. Although not too hot! When the heat is too hot, it could be because of a problem with the thermostat or sensor. Our appliance repairmen are able to diagnose the location of the problem and then repair it. Always be careful if troubleshooting this issue for fear of body burns from the very high and unpredictable heat.

IGNITER WILL NOT LIGHT

A common stove issue is when an igniter glows but doesn’t light. The reason this occurs is from a broken surface igniter, safety valve, electronic control or temperature sensor. We are able to determine if we can fix these parts or if we have to replace the parts.

DOOR DOES NOT OPEN

Modern self-cleaning ovens sometimes experience door issues. The door won’t open after the oven cleans itself. We inspect the door closure, thermostat and seal to find out why the door won’t open and then we complete the repair in order to resolve the problem.
